some people's kids
Just returned from a walk w/el pooches. This makes 2 of the last 3 walks we've taken during which someone's loose dog came running up to mine and hassled them. Rar! It makes them (Brodie and Logan) so F nervous, they totally freak out. Hair starts flying off of Logan of its own accord, and Brodie starts fighting with the air near his face so that anything in proximity gets what it gets if it gets too close. It makes me F pissed, because there's no earthly reason that people should have their dogs off a leash in the city. It's an ordinance, even, that they can't have their dog off its leash. I sort of feel like their dogs should get close to Brodie, because maybe that'd teach them.
Here's the house today, all done with working gutters and downspouts and all:
The bay window also got new shingles, and I made an attempt at trimming the hideous bushes the other day:
I've got a couple planters with random things in them, mostly weeds as far as I know, but some actual flowers came up this year:
Can anyone identify these?

i found your blog somehow (i think via myspace) and i confess to secretly reading it lately because i like seeing mt. pleasant life through someone else's eyes who is not boring as hell or talking about frat parties.
anyway - if you happen to see two giant black dogs running around leashless at island or nelson park, that'd be my fault. feel free to tell them to fuck off and do kung fu on their asses.
Hey Sarah, thanks for commenting and for reading! I'm also glad to hear of someone else in town who's not a moron (frat/etc). What kinda dogs?
one black lab and one giant black lab/great dane mix. i've seen you in the library enough times that i could have chatted, but i'm completely awkward and shy IRL.
Oh! Say hey next time yer in the 'brary! I'm not scary, at least not *that* scary.
