I just discovered Merlin Mann's 5ives. How did I just now find it? Seems like something I should've known about already. I love lists!
My favorite so far is from January 16, 2007:

Hmmm, when Dave does that it's usually some outrageous disease he has a touch of. For instance:
Dave: Cough, cough, hacky-mchackersons.
Susan: Are you ok?
Dave: Yeah, just a touch of The Cholera (or The Malaria, or The Plague).
Oh, and Dave's family uses it almost exlusively for The Cancer.
Oh yes, The Cancer is always in vogue. (You know what I mean.)
My favorite disease to fake-have is diphtheria.
Isn't that THE diphtheria?
