Finished a hat yesterday and one the day before.

As of this morning, it's officially mitten weather. I've got to move the temporary table I had set up for the garage sale so I can park in the garage again. The frost on my car melted off with the defroster today, but I doubt it'll do so for long.

a quick read

Just finished reading The Misadventures of Dreary & Naughty by John LaFleur and Shawn Dubin. I really like the art and the characters are cool, but the rhyming text is almost unbearably awkward. It limps along trying so hard but it just doesn't flow. I think that these characters would be better suited to a regular ol' graphic novel without trying to rhyme.

Woot! I plunked myself down on the couch tonight for some Learning Channel-watching knitting quality time. I finished three items so far!

I'd started a hat for small child the other day, and now it's done:


I also made an open weave hat that can be either a skull cap or a beret:




It's pretty near impossible to see the open weave except at the very crown.


And a scarf of the long windy variety in colors that fit the season:
