I'm a Bear

It's Thursday, which means Roland has class (normal), office hours (normal), meeting(s) with faculty, and then structured fun. It's only once a week and it's pretty much expected that he attend the structured fun, and probably some undetermined amount of fun for Roland. Yet, somehow it still bothers me. Every Thursday I'm fine with the whole thing through when his class meets, he holds office hours, he attends the meetings, and when the structured fun starts. But then it gets to be about 8:00, although sometimes 7:00, sometimes 9:00. And I get all upset that he isn't home yet. The first one of these meetings he didn't get home until Very Late and hence I was proportionately Very Upset. The problem is there isn't really any good reason to be upset. And yet, there I go every week getting the same upset about for the same illogical reason (that's got to be an oxymoron). I recognize the lack of logic, but that doesn't appear to affect anything. Hrmf.

Ah well, not all things are logical (at least that's what they tell me). Perhaps you need to create a Thursday night activity of your own... say, structured shopping. That way you'd have something to do and you'd get to instill some fear of shoe purchase into Dave. Better yet, mess with him by hiding the Kitchen Wizard somewhere new every Thursday. He'll never be able to reach into a cabinet without fear again...

And when Jason says "structured shopping" he really means watching informericals and buying microwave browning bags. He's right those those Kitchen Wizards are deadly.

We need to figure out some kind of neat gadget-related way to use the interweb to stitch-n-bitch while we watch Thursday night TV. Perhaps this could also involve shopping? Techy guys, make it so!
