I'm a dinosaur, now I'm an alien!

Welcome to 2006. Now if I can just remember that the next time I'm writing down the date. Roland and I just stayed in last night and actually watched the shows they put on the television. We haven't actually watched them before because we were are Jason's house and surrounded by tons of people. We used to just talk and listen to the grooves from Jason's mega-music collection and just turn on the TV like a minute before midnight to watch the pertinent parts. I didn't know, but apparently Dick Clark wasn't on last year, but was back, in a limited capacity, this year. He doesn't sound so good. It sounds like he has had a tracheotomy or some such. He was in a tall building looking down on the square with what's-his-name from American Idol and some lady down in the thick of things. They also had Mariah Carey singing in the square. She was very shiny and a bit trampy in my opinion. Her hair also looked very much like extensions or a wig. I've never been a huge fan of hers anyway, so I'm probably not the one to judge.

Unfortunately we missed the call from our friends at Jason's house. I really missed being there having all the funs with the peeps. Jason throws some sweet shin-digs. In previous years we have made personal sized pizzas which everyone snacks on. Pesto and BBQ chicken were some of the favorites. I say 'we' but mostly it was Jason and Roland, the resident culinary snobs. Then there were all sort of snacks and some drinks. Most of all it was the people.

I visited Anne's town again today so we could chat and she could tell me more about the game. My dad got me a sweet webcam for Christmas so maybe we can hook up and chat while we play. It is a lot easier to type on a keyboard than with a stylus on letter at a time. While my parents were here we tried out the webcam and it seemed to work well. I'm pretty excited to use it soon and actually see the people I'm talking to. Plus the cel service at my parents house is sketchy at best so I could talk to my mom for free with out that headache. I wonder if Jason has one, or any of the other peeps. I asked Anne and she thinks Karl (with a K) has one, so maybe she can chat with me as well. Here's hoping!

We were thinking of both of you at the party. You were definitely missed!

you can just chat with your ds? (to people who are farther away than oh say...ten feet?)or do you have to have the animal crossings game?

You can chat within something like a 30 foot distance locally. If you want to chat from a long distance you have to have a wireless compatable game. Animal Crossing is, but I'm sure there are others out there as well. How's The Peanut?
