i read the blog on the your site. where you mentioned the problem with css and styles. i was wondering if you have tried dynamically choosing your style depending on the browser.
you can pull the browser type out of the http header's user-agent field. http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec14.html#sec14.43
here is a cool site that prints your request headers. http://web-sniffer.net/
Looking good. CSS can be a pain in the neck but when you get good at it it's awesome. There are a number of really good books that cover just CSS... it's an art in its own right. We should chat some time via phone (after Disney of course). A few helpful pointers might keep you from banging your head against things for too long ;)
I remember working for a week once to figure out CSS styles as rendered in two different browsers. As caw suggested I ended up using different style sheets based on the user agent in the HTTP header. Of course after the fact I found out that there was an easier way to do the specific thing I was trying to do... doh!
Thanks caw, I'm gonna look into that (right now, in fact)...
Jason, any help you feel like giving is greatly appreciated. Seriously I don't know how you people cope. It's so frusterating because I can feel the zen that is CSS, but then the stupid browsers mess it up. Do you have a webcam? If you do, perhaps we could set up a chatting session (for free).
I miss you and seriously, with the diving...ANY TIME!
