Floater

Roland and I had a nice swim this evening. We managed to find a time when the pool was empty and the sun was down. I was just hoping for a pool that was not crowded, but we got lucky and it had it all to ourselves. The pool was quite warm and made me realize that people down here probably don't have much use for pool heaters or solar covers. I did some floating, some treading water, and some actual swimming. It was fun and nice to have a sort of mini-date with Roland.

I see and hear people out at the pool everyday in the peak hours of sun exposure and I just can't imagine being out in it. It is often a lot of kids in the pool and adults sunbathing, seriously out in the direct rays of the sun. Not even in the shade! Holy hotness Batman, how can they stand it? I just don't get it.
