Snort
Well, that was just frustrating. Roland noticed that my blog looked wrong in IE (why am I not surprised) in that the sidebar was no longer a sidebar. So after about an hour of fiddling I finally had to just reset the template. I saved my old template in a notepad and reset it in blogger. Then I went about making all the changes I had made to the old one, to the new one. I finished after another hour. Why so long? Well I wasn't sure what was causing the problem so I changed things back one by one to make sure they weren't the culprit, and reposting my entire blog is apparently a long process which sometimes stalls out and doesn't finish. Anyway, what was the culprit? I don't know. I put everything back where it was before and it still works as it should have before I started this whole thing. And it only took me 2 hours.

It looks lovely to me. Why is IE such total crap? My crappy laptop got sick and Dave had to ghost it to help it do anything. It still kinda sucks, but less. I tried to put my avatar on my blog, but I don't think it worked. Can you help?
IE just does thing differently than the rest. It treats the placement of certain pieces of the web page wierdly. This makes it impossibly (for someone of my skill level) to make a webpage that looks the same in both IE and the other browsers. This mean (I think) that I need a bit of java that will find out which browser a person is using and based on that my site will throw one of two styles at the user; the IE style sheet, or the everyone else style sheet. Anyway, about your avatar I found the problem and the easiest way for me to fix it is for you to change your password, allow me to lot in an change it, and then change it back. It would take me about 1 minute to fix, but I'm not sure I could explain it. Let me know!
