Finished

My latest craft effort was the recovering of a used chair for Roland's office. I think it's mostly for his students to sit in? It isn't the best chair ever, but it was the right price. Free. However the fabric had seen better days so he asked if I could recover it. He asked for navy red and I managed to find some fabric from the sale table (they have a lot of flat folds that are uphostery type fabric - the left overs from someone elses order usually). I didn't use a pattern I just sort of made it up as I went along and it turned out okay. The back is a little baggier than ideal, but other than that it went all right. Plus I got to use my staple gun!

You have no idea who I am but I'm from the internet. Anyway! I really like that color....and I think we have that lamp behind it too. But awesome job on it, I think it looks great.

Thanks! We've only recently gotten down to having just one of those lamps. They were the mainstay of our college lighting. It does do a good job of putting out enough light for my crafty projects (which require more than the average).

Thanks Susan! It's a really nice color, even nicer than it appears in the picture. Very wine-y. And the upholstery job is very professional looking. Truth be told, it's 60% for looking cool, 30% for my use seating, and 10% for student use. At least that's the plan. It's cushy, and it swivels and rocks a little, and it would be great with a really small footstool/hassock/ottoman. Now I just have to remember to take it into to work!

Very nice indeed... we'll have to get a report on what the students think of it!
